Over 800 micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) owners and aspiring entrepreneurs took part in the nationwide G Summit organized by Globe Business to assist them in future proofing their businesses amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The G Summit coincided with the annual celebration of 917Gday, the day when Globe shows its appreciation to loyal customers whose mobile number starts with 917, Globe’s original mobile network.

“917 GDay has always been about Globe Telecom, Inc. showing its gratitude to all our customers. This year we went beyond gratitude and turned GDay into a platform to uplift Filipinos, giving them the means to achieve their goals while also enjoying their favorite pastimes.  For our MSME customers, we strive to give them the digital resources they need in order to help them build their livelihood, support their families, and grow their communities,” said Issa Cabreira-Guevarra, Globe Chief Commercial Officer.

Always searching for ways to uplift Filipinos’ daily lives, Globe saw G Summit as a venue for business owners to learn from industry experts and acclaimed entrepreneurs and to network with peers.

Last year, Globe Business focused on helping MSMEs pivot their business to survive and thrive. However, the pandemic saw MSMEs evolve in order to meet the demands of the new normal. As such, they are looking for new opportunities to grow their revenue.

This year, the discussion focused on helping MSMEs look forward and arm their businesses against challenges brought by the current times. In line with their #TuloyTayoSMEs program, Globe Business-led learning sessions on new market trends, best practices in working remotely, and digital solutions that mobilized different business operations.

Esteemed speakers and resource persons

Building capacities and equipping MSMEs with the right tools

President and Chief Executive Officer of the Ayala Corporation Fernando Zobel de Ayala shared, “Entrepreneurs and MSMEs have always been a key pillar and partner for all of us at the Ayala Group. Our different companies continue to support and partner with businesses of all sizes.”

As part of its month-long celebration, Globe continues to create meaningful connections that care for its over 85 million customers and their communities.

Globe Business is also rewarding its loyal customers by providing them with tools and equipment that will allow them to work safely from home.  About 100 MSME clients will have the chance to win GCash credits, Giftaway vouchers from Shopee, Lazada, Silicon Valley, Digital Walker, Switch, and National Bookstore, Healthway UnliCheQ cards, Generika MEDPadala vouchers, and Apple iPad Air products via the “Para sa Negosyo: SME Raffle.” The winners will be announced on October 11 via direct email and phone call.
