LILA, Bohol — Mayor Arturo “Jed” Piollo II on Sunday filed his certificate of candidacy (COC), hoping to be reelected as mayor of Lila in next year’s polls.
Piollo, 43, said he wants to improve the government’s program on enterprise, health, education, and social services.
He added that he also wants to develop the use of giant bamboo in environmental protection. He said this effort which was not realized because of the pandemic.
“We have already ordered 50,000 seedlings. We want to bring back the name of Lila as the ‘land of hundred springs’ through planting bamboo,” he said.
On Saturday, Frederick Raut also filed his COC to challenge Piollo for the town’s mayoral post.
