ORMOC CITY — Police arrested the personal security escort of Mayor Saturnino Medina of Isabel town in Leyte for allegedly killing a Facebook user who was critical to the local chief executive.
Mat Marquez, 41, did not resist arrest when the local police went to his house in Barangay Libertad, Isabel, Leyte at 1 p.m. on Monday, October 25.
The suspect was considered the most wanted person in Isabel, Leyte, said Police Major Florando Relente, chief of the Isabel Police Station.
The arrest was by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Mario Olmida Quinit, of the Regional Trial Court Branch 12 in Ormoc City
No bail was recommended.
The suspect was identified by the wife of the victim as the person who shot her husband, Devin Maurillo, last June 22.
