LUCENA CITY — Police arrested a former drug convict in a buy-bust operation here on Monday night, report said Tuesday.

Suspect Normelito Cueto, 33, was collared after he sold a pack of shabu (crystal meth) to an undercover police agent in Barangay Kanlurang Mayao around 10:07 p.m., Police Leuitenant Colonel Reynaldo Reyes, Lucena police chief, said in a report.

Authorities seized four plastic sachets of shabu with a street value of P22,848.

The report tagged the suspect, who had been previously charged with a drug case, as included in the police drug watch list.

The suspect was identified by rehabilitated drug users in the village as one of the main suppliers of shabu in the area.

Now jailed, the suspect is facing charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
